Narrative Letters
Narrative letter writing and other artistic re-presentations of practice (e.g. poems, songs, etc.) have played a critical part in the development of narrative family therapy. In spite the rich history of narrative letter writing, unfortunately it appears this practice has been lost along the way. The purpose of this section of JNFT is to restore the rich history of narrative letter writing through the publication of short papers that highlight innovative narrative letter writing practices. It is our hope the publication of these innovative narrative letter writing practices will inspire a new generation of artistic expression in narrative family therapy. Proposals for this section should include: (1) the context in which the letter/artistic re-presentation was generated, (2) the letter, poem, or other artistic re-presentation, (3) a description of how the letter, poem, or other artistic re-presentation was shared, (4) the effect of the letter, poem, or other artistic re-presentation on the persons involved, and (5) a discussion about how the paper innovates and evolves the theory and practice of narrative family therapy. Propose your idea here.
